Two cartoon monkeys throwing bananas in a tropical jungle in Banana Brawl Monkey Islands

Banana Brawl: Monkey Islands is a colorful HTML5 action game where quick reactions and clever movement help your monkey survive a tropical banana battle. Rival monkeys throw bananas across the arena, and your goal is to dodge their attacks while landing throws of your own. Illustrated characters and island backgrounds bring a playful atmosphere to a simple browser game that you can start playing right on this page.

Choose from three maps before the action starts. The jungle arena features a bright waterfall and leafy scenery, the temple brings sunset colors and ancient ruins, and the lagoon offers a moonlit tropical setting. Each map has its own arrangement of raised platforms. Jump between different heights to avoid incoming bananas and find a better position against the rival monkeys. The island changes periodically as you advance through the waves.

On mobile, use the left and right arrows to move, the upward arrow to jump, the lightning button to dash and the banana button to throw. On a computer, move with A and D or the left and right arrow keys. Press W or the upward arrow to jump, Space to throw and Shift to dash. Throws automatically face a nearby rival, allowing you to concentrate on movement, distance and timing.

The challenge runs across thirty waves. Defeat every rival to continue, and expect more opponents as you progress. Defeated monkeys leave collectible bananas that can restore health. Pick them up when you have a clear route, and watch for projectiles while crossing the arena. Clearing a wave gives a small health recovery too. The dash has a cooldown, so save it for a dangerous moment rather than using it continuously.

Press Play Now to begin. The game attempts to enter fullscreen and lock the screen to landscape when supported by your browser. If automatic rotation is unavailable, turn your phone sideways and try the fullscreen button. Use the music control to switch sound off and the pause button whenever you need a break. The game artwork is embedded, and no separate game asset downloads are required.

Try all three starting maps, learn the curved flight of the bananas and challenge yourself to clear the final wave. Your best number of defeated rivals is stored locally when browser storage is available. This is a single-player game against computer-controlled monkeys, with touch and keyboard controls for cheerful arcade sessions on mobile and desktop.
