Start your first Shark Bay expedition with a practical checklist for steering, diving, reading gem counters, and exploring the waterline.

Start with a small goal

Your first trip through Shark Bay Adventure is easier to enjoy when you treat it as a short learning expedition. Instead of racing across the whole bay, choose one nearby island and learn how the craft responds around it. The published game description identifies two treasure types: gold gems above the water and blue gems below it. Read the objective in your current session before planning a route, because a familiar landscape is not a substitute for checking what remains to collect.

Check movement before treasure

On a keyboard, the published controls use WASD or the arrow keys for movement, T for turbo, Shift for diving, and E for rising. On mobile, begin with GO, the steering arrows, DIVE, and RISE. Test each action separately in open water. Then practise turning back toward your starting island. Learning to return to a recognizable point is useful preparation for searching a larger area without losing track of your route.

Read the waterline

Inspect the surface around your chosen island, then dive beneath the same section. Look for blue treasure at different depths rather than assuming every collectible is directly below a gold one. Use the navigation map and objective information as aids, and confirm that the appropriate counter changes after collection. If it does not, make a smaller, slower approach before leaving the area. Save turbo for travel between places you have already identified.

Finish with a repeatable routine

Before moving on, check the edges of the section you just searched. Islands, wreck markers, and coastline shapes can help you remember where one section ends and the next begins. Your first-session goal is simple: steer confidently, change depth deliberately, collect both treasure types, and understand the progress display. Reaching that point gives you a useful foundation for later expeditions. You can always return to tricks and faster travel after ordinary movement feels comfortable.
