Learn a small set of actions

Street Clash: Combat Edition offers punches, kicks, a heavy strike, an uppercut, a special attack, a dodge, and a throw. That is a lot to learn at once. Start with the current control guide and practise movement plus one basic attack. The published character and arena choices give you room to experiment after the fundamentals feel comfortable.

Understand attack distance

Move toward an opponent carefully and notice the distance at which a basic attack can connect. If attacks repeatedly miss, correct your position before adding more buttons. An attack sequence is only useful when you are close enough and facing the right direction. Watch the visible result of each attempt.

Add defense to your routine

Practise dodging as its own action rather than pressing it randomly during every exchange. Observe the opponent, make a defensive movement, and then look for a chance to respond. This is a practice method rather than a guaranteed winning combination; timing and spacing still matter.

Expand one move at a time

Once a basic attack feels reliable, test a kick, then a heavier action, then the remaining abilities. Learn throws and special attacks from the instructions shown in your version instead of assuming they use another fighting game’s rules. Stay with one character long enough to understand the controls before switching. A useful first-session goal is simple: move accurately, land a deliberate attack, and respond to an incoming threat.
